Had a vet visit with Toby, 10yr old boxer. Good news his blo..
Had a vet visit with Toby, 10yr old boxer. Good news his blo.od pressure is normal. Not so great news is his eyesight has gone, thankfully not due to high blo.od pressure. Bad news vet detected an irregular heartbeat so we now have a referral to a cardiologist. The ultrasound for his kidney and liver issues with the internal medical specialist is a week and half out. Some of you may think that it’s ridiculous to do this for a dog. I know this is going to be expensive, but I just can’t help not doing it. He’s literally all I have.😢😭. I’m not ready to lose him as long as I can provide him quality of life. When he’s no longer able to do small things he enjoys or basic bodily functions…I know it’s time to let him go. But we’re not there yet. He may no longer be my running partner, but we still walk 1 mile+ at least a few days a week. 🥰

Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend 😘. Received some upsetting news about my boxer, Toby. Some of you already know that I’ve been working through some of his health issues. Liver enzymes went up more despite being on supplements. Now the vets saying he has chronic kidney disease 😢. He’s 10, but I’m having a hard time tonight. He’s my last baby I have. 🥺
