Reach back to 2013, and @titanialyn was the first nude model I'd ever worked with that wasn't simply one of my partners placating my photographic whims. Fast forward to today, and she's a great friend and practically a sister from five states away. We've both been dealing with some IRL crap that's stymied both of our respective creative streaks, if not fully induced clinical depression. Of course, when she told me she was going to be visiting another friend just a couple hours away and wanted to know if I was close enough to shoot, the only logical answer was "fuck yes." We threw some ideas back and forth, ultimately settling on artsy-fartsy shenanigans with prisms, sun flares, and smoke bombs. Reaching back a few years to a series of contours and detail abstracts with @tropicalsunsetbreeze and I keep having two thoughts: 1) I need to process a few more of these, I may have missed a few print-quality gems now that I know a bit more about post-processing. 2) I need to shoot this concept way more often. I forgot how much I really love the interplay of shadow and soft light on a razor's edge.
